Bank of America associates and Chicago Sky athletes, Candice Dupree, Shyra Ely, KB Sharp, Dominque Canty, Arminite Price and Sylvia Fowles, along with Head Coach and General Manager Steven Key handed out food donations to hungry families in conjunction with the Food Depository's Mobile Pantry. This event kicked-off a broader canned food drive that encourages the public to bring items to the Chicago Sky vs Sacramento Monarchs game on June 30 @ 7pm. Each fan that brings five canned goods to donate at the Sky game on June 30 will receive a free Sky voucher to any 2009 regular season game.

Steagall. Some provisions of the Act, such as Regulation Q, which allowed the Federal Reserve to regulate interest rates in savings accounts, were repealed by the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980. Provisions that prohibit a bank holding company from owning other financial companies were repealed on November 12, 1999, by the Gramm--Leach--Bliley Act. [2][3] The repeal of the Glass--Steagall Act of 1933 effectively removed the separation that previously existed between Wall Street investment banks and depository banks. This repeal directly contributed to the severity of the Financial crisis of 2007--2010.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago's food bank, is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community. The Food Depository distributes donated and purchased food through a network of 650 food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to 678000 adults and children every year. Last year, the Food Depository distributed 58 million pounds of nonperishable food and fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of 119000 meals every day.

Accompanied by my friend Mary Freer from North Carolina, USA, we visited the Temple Church in Temple, London which was once built and owned by the Knights Templar of England. Contained within are a number of Templar grave effigies, and in common with all European Templar places of worship, the church is rounded. Join us as we explore this beautiful if not noisy relic of the Crusaders. The Temple Church is a late 12th century church in London located between Fleet Street and the River Thames, built for and by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters. In modern times, two Inns of Court (Inner Temple and Middle Temple) both use the church. It is famous for its effigy tombs and for being a round church. It was heavily damaged during the Second World War but has been largely restored. The area around the Temple Church is known as the Temple and nearby is Temple Bar and Temple tube station. The Knights Templar order was very powerful in England, with the Master of the Temple sitting in parliament as primus baro (the first baron of the realm). The compound was regularly used as a residence by kings and by legates of the Pope. The Temple also served as an early depository bank, sometimes in defiance of the Crown's wishes to seize the funds of nobles who had entrusted their wealth there. COA audit: P193-M for calamity victims unused, kept in bank December 30, 2011 Donations for calamity victims amounting to over P193-M were left unused, according to the Commission on Audit (COA) annual audit report on the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The COA said that from 2004 to 2010, P193,673317.98 in donations meant for calamity victims were unused and kept in a deposit account in an Authorized Government Depository Bank (AGDB). In a report by Sandra Aguinaldo on GMA News "24 Oras," DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman said that the amount has been turned over to the National Treasury, but they recently requested to use it for the victims of tropical storm Sendong. Soliman explained that the donations were left in the bank because the needs of past disaster victims had already been met without using the fund. "Marami po talagang pumasok na pera para po sa Ondoy and other disasters na hindi naman kinakailangang gastusin lahat sapagkat natugunan naman ang mga pangangailangan ng mga nasalanta," she said in the report.
